Growing up in Sherwood Park, Katie was always passionate about Physiotherapy. She completed her Bachelors degree at the U of A, before making the big move to Melbourne, Australia to complete her Physiotherapy degree. Here, Katie completed her Doctor of Physiotherapy at the University of Melbourne, one of the top schools for Physiotherapy in the world.
Having taught swimming lessons at KLC for many years during her education, Katie built an excellent base knowledge of human movement. Following her graduation, Katie pursued many opportunities in sports, being a Physiotherapist for multiple Australian rules football teams, high-level women’s soccer, junior netball (like basketball!) and rugby.
Katie utilizes a wide range of treatment methods to ensure a safe return to daily life, work and sport, including strengthening exercise, mobility techniques, education, load management and manual therapy. She is extremely passionate about the concept of “active rehabilitation” and empowering clients.
Katie’s special interests are helping clients with tendon problems, shoulder problems and anything in the lower limb! Since graduation Katie has completed extensive further training in management of the cervical and lumbar spine, shoulder injuries, foot and ankle, S&C training, ACL and generalised sporting injuries.

Kimoya is a fun and eccentric person who is originally from the tropical island of Jamaica. In 2011 she completed her Bachelor of Science Degree in Physical Therapy at one of the top universities in the Caribbean – the University of the West Indies. After graduating, she worked part time at the local hospital in her city while managing her private practice and home therapy.
In 2014 she left Jamaica and went to work at the Princess Margaret Hospital in Nassau, Bahamas. She worked in various areas including the Intensive Care Unit, the Acute Care Hospital, the Outpatient Rehabilitation Department and the NeuroDevelopmental Center for Children.
In 2018 she went on to pursue a post professional Doctor of Physical Therapy Degree from Utica College in New York, USA. After practicing for 6 years in the Bahamas, she later migrated to Canada in 2020.
Kimoya has Ten (10) years of experience working with a variety of situations ranging from neuromuscular, orthopedic, pediatric and cardiopulmonary conditions. She has a special interest in knee conditions, post-surgical conditions, fractures and neuromuscular conditions. She has a deep passion for helping people regain function and independence. Her treatment regime usually consists of a variety of techniques such as the use of modalities, strengthening exercises, stretching and education that are geared to facilitate improvement in activities of daily living and functional independence.

Dr. Dan Headington graduated from Northwestern College of Chiropractic in 1999. He is originally from Saskatoon, Saskatchewan and attended the University of Saskatchewan before moving to Minnesota to attend Northwestern College of Chiropractic. He has a Bachelor of Science in Biology and a Doctor of Chiropractic Degree.
Dr. Dan started visiting a chiropractor at an early age because of injuries he sustained from sports. He enjoyed being adjusted and found it to be effective in getting him back into the game.

Dr. Levi Irwin received his Bachelors of Science in Kinesiology from the University of Calgary in 2006. He then attended Palmer College of Chiropractic in San Jose California, (playing championship college hockey alongside teammates Dr. Pilling and Dr. Kalynchuk) graduating Magna Cum Laude in 2011. Dr. Irwin soon returned to Calgary where he owned and operated Motion City Sports Therapy out of the Kensington Fitness Studio for 5 years. In February, 2019, he moved North up the QEII to Edmonton in order to join both the CORE family and the ranks of fellow Edmonton Oilers fans. Hockey is one of Dr. Irwin’s lifelong loves. Instructed with Hockey Canada Skills academies and at the Banff Hockey School, Dr. Irwin played hockey competitively to the age of 18, and assistant-coached AA Peewee hockey in Cochrane, Alberta. In the winter months, Dr. Irwin enjoys hitting the slopes on his snowboard, or the ice with hockey and curling. Dr. Dustin Kalynchuk received his Bachelors of Science in Chemistry and Psychology from the University of Alberta in 2008. He then attended Palmer College of Chiropractic in San Jose California, (playing championship college hockey alongside teammates Dr. Pilling and Dr. Irwin) graduating as Salutatorian of his class, and receiving the Presidential Scholar Award for honours with distinction in 2012. Here he was also inducted into the Pi Tau Delta international Chiropractic honour society. Dr. Kalynchuk has a broad patient base including newborn babies, teens, stay-at-home moms and dads, office workers and tradespeople. He has also had the opportunity to treat top athletes from across Western Canada and the USA, and is certified by Titleist in the treatment of professional golfers. Outside of Chiropractic, Dr. Kalynchuk enjoys being active and outdoors. He has played hockey since the age of eight, and often escapes to the mountains to go hiking and snowboarding, or to the lake for camping and wakeboarding. Kelsea graduated from the University of Alberta with a Masters of Science in Physical Therapy in 2013. Prior to completing her Physical Therapy degree, she acquired a Bachelor of Science degree with Biological Sciences (Major) and Nutrition (Minor) from the University of Alberta in 2007.
Kelsea has continued her education and advanced her treatment skills through several post-graduate courses. She has completed post-graduate certification in Spinal Manipulation, Biomedical Dry Needling, Pelvic Health and numerous other treatment courses.
Kelsea has a special interest in the treatment of neck and back injuries, headaches and shoulder injuries. She incorporates various treatment techniques such as manual therapy, needling, postural correction, strengthening, and functional exercises to help her patients safely return to work, sport/running or simply their everyday activities.
During her journey of returning to running, sports and gym activities after giving birth to her 3 daughters, she also developed a new passion for pre- and post-natal exercise and education. Her approach to treatment involves working together with individuals to create a tailored treatment plan that will get people back doing the things that make them happy. She uses a combination of education, manual therapy, therapeutic exercise and research to help provide patients with the knowledge and tools to feel better, move better and stay better for the long term. She loves the idea of working with individuals and promoting healthy movement which sparked her interest in becoming a physio. She graduated from the University of Alberta with a Bachelor’s of Kinesiology degree and continued her education to complete her Masters of Science in Physical Therapy. Brooke has additional training in Female and Male Urinary Incontinence and is looking forward to offering this support at Core in the coming future! Dr. Pilling received his Bachelors of Science in Kinesiology and a minor in Commerce from the University of Saskatchewan in 2007, he then attended Palmer Chiropractic College West and graduated in 2011.
Although Dr. Pilling started his Chiropractic Career in Calgary, he found himself moving to Sherwood Park to be a part of the team at Core Wellness and Chiropractic. He believes that the multi-disciplinary team and their efforts will give his patients the best care and the best outcome for their treatments. The Community of Strathcona County is an added bonus, and his family actively participates in all that is has to offer.
Dr. Pilling grew up in Banff, Alberta and was exposed to the outdoors at young age. He took advantage of this atmosphere by being involved in hockey, skiing, rugby, golf, mountain biking and fishing.
Dr. Clayton met his beautiful wife Lindsay, while attending Caronport High school in Saskatchewan and were married in 2005. Clayton and Lindsay have 3 children, Koston, Ella and Ashlynn. Being a father has brought a new level of dedication, love and loyalty to his life.
