Pelvic floor physiotherapy (PFPT) is a specialized branch of physiotherapy involving internal and external assessment and treatment of the pelvic floor muscles. Those muscles are located between the hip bones and the sacrum, and they serve as a bowl to support the pelvic organs including the bladder, colon and uterus.

Rence Balaccua RMT

Rence graduated from the 3000-hour program at MaKami College in 2019. He pursued this career to help improve people’s health, wellness and quality of life.

Rence uses trigger point therapy, dynamic cupping/myofascial, therapeutic/deep tissue techniques, and orthopedic assessments to assist with his treatments based on the individual needs of his clients.

Katie Bekavac PT

Growing up in Sherwood Park, Katie has always been passionate about Physiotherapy. She completed her Bachelors degree at the U of A, before making the big move to Australia to complete her Doctor of Physiotherapy at the University of Melbourne, one of the top schools for Physiotherapy in the world. Having taught swimming lessons at KLC for many years during her education, Katie built an excellent base knowledge of human movement. Following her graduation, Katie gained experience in sports therapy by working with multiple Australian rules football teams, high-level women’s soccer teams, junior netball teams and rugby teams. Katie utilises a wide range of treatment methods to ensure a safe return to daily life, work and sport, including strengthening exercise, mobility techniques, education, load management and manual therapy. She is extremely passionate about the concept of “active rehabilitation” and empowering clients. Katie’s special interests are helping clients with tendon problems, shoulder problems and anything in the lower limb! Since graduation Katie has completed extensive further training in management of the cervical and lumbar spine, shoulder injuries, foot and ankle, S&C training, ACL and generalised sporting injuries. Katie also offers Clinical Pilates Physiotherapy, which helps build strength and rehabilitate injuries. She has also completed her Biomedical Dry Needling certificate and use this as an adjunct to treatment as needed. Ronaldo graduated from MaKami College with 3000 hours in Advanced Clinical Massage Therapy in 2017. He also attended the dynamic cupping course from Seminars for Heath in 2018.

With an intuitive touch and infectious smile, Ron has been improving the quality of wellness in his clients for almost 4 years. Ron looks at the body as a machine. If an area is seized up, he will focus on all the parts and mechanics to fix it, not just the local area of complaint. He tailors each session to the patients needs, combining deep focused work with stretching and movement for individualized results.

Ron’s great respect for the medical benefits of massage combined with his compassion for others, and intuition for healing, create a unique therapeutic balance.

He is not afraid to learn new things or look outside the box to provide patients with the best care for long lasting results. Shawn Ellerton RMT

Shawn has always lived an active lifestyle and has a passion for helping others. During his time working as a carpenter, he continued to participate in the competitive sports he grew up playing like hockey, lacrosse & baseball. Kimoya Goslin PT

Kimoya is originally from the tropical island of Jamaica. In 2011, she completed her Bachelor of Science Degree in Physical Therapy at one of the top universities in the Caribbean – the University of the West Indies. After graduating, she worked part time at the local hospital in her city while managing her private practice and home therapy.

In 2014 she left Jamaica and went to work at the Princess Margaret Hospital in Nassau, Bahamas. She worked in various areas including the Intensive Care Unit, the Acute Care Hospital, the Outpatient Rehabilitation Department and the Neurodevelopmental Center for Children.

In 2018 she went on to pursue a post professional Doctor of Physical Therapy Degree from Utica College in New York, USA. After practicing for 6 years in the Bahamas, she later migrated to Canada in 2020.

Kimoya has experience working with a variety of situations ranging from neuromuscular, orthopedic, pediatric and cardiopulmonary conditions. She has a special interest in knee conditions, post-surgical conditions, fractures and neuromuscular conditions.

Dr. Levi Irwin D.C

Dr. Levi Irwin received his Bachelors of Science in Kinesiology from the University of Calgary in 2006. He then attended Palmer College of Chiropractic in San Jose, California, graduating in 2011. While attending Palmer College of Chiropractic he played championship college hockey alongside teammates Dr. Pilling and Dr. Dustin.

Dr. Irwin soon returned to Calgary where he owned and operated Motion City Sports Therapy out of the Kensington Fitness Studio for 5 years. In February, 2019, he moved to Edmonton to join the CORE team.

In the winter months, Dr. Irwin enjoys hitting the slopes on his snowboard, or the ice with hockey and curling. Dr. Dustin Kalynchuk received his Bachelors of Science in Chemistry and Psychology from the University of Alberta in 2008. Stephen received his BSc in Kinesiology from the University of Lethbridge in 2019 and completed his post-graduate MSc in Physical Therapy at the University of Alberta in 2023. Kelsea Mabuchi PT

Kelsea graduated from the University of Alberta with a Masters of Science in Physical Therapy in 2013. Prior to completing her Physical Therapy degree, she acquired a Bachelor of Science degree with Biological Sciences (Major) and Nutrition (Minor) from the University of Alberta in 2007. Kelsea has continued her education and advanced her treatment skills through several post-graduate courses. She has completed post-graduate certification in Spinal Manipulation, Biomedical Dry Needling, Pelvic Health, Pre- and Post-Natal Exercise along with numerous other treatment courses. Kelsea has a special interest in the treatment of neck and back injuries, headaches and shoulder injuries. Brooke Padlewski PT

A large part of Brooke’s life has been centered around playing sports and being active which sparked her interest in becoming a physiotherapist. She loves that she gets to spend each day at the clinic working with individuals to promote healthy movement and help them reach their goals.

She graduated from the University of Alberta with a Bachelors of Kinesiology and went on to complete her Master’s of Science in Physical Therapy. Joanne Yannagas RMT

Joanne Yannagas graduated from the 2200-hour program at Grant MacEwan College in 2002. While there, she became passionate about supporting training athletes and injury rehabilitation.

In 2015, Joanne travelled to Colorado to complete her Canine Massage Certification at the Rocky Mountain School of Animal Acupressure and Massage. Now, she is able to help dogs with mobility issues, sprains/strains and injuries. She has worked in Sherwood Park in multidisciplinary clinics for most of her career.

Although Joanne’s passion is in sports injuries, she also works with clients that suffer from over-use injuries, motor vehicle accidents and general muscle stiffness. She uses a combination of deep tissue/therapeutic massage, lymph drainage, trigger point release, myofascial release and sports massage techniques.
